Antenna Futura – Futurological Exercises for the Unknown
Opening: September 14, 2016, 7 pm
Exhibition: September 15 to October 29, 2016

Antenna Futura convenes contemporary artistic positions that explore a realistic-imminent or a phantastic-distant future. Scientific contributions and workshops on the topic will take place in the framework of the exhibition. In this way Antenna Futura responds to a highly complex and informationally baroque present whose future and potentials seem impervious.

In the interplay between different positions and formats Antenna Futura unfolds a soothsaying, inquiring, and fabulating domain in the unknown. Inspired by the setting of a wunderkammer, the exhibition and laboratory are complemented by everyday curiosities and bizarre research objects. Antenna Futura is an exercise in thinking and fantasising about the future to focus on a present yet to be shaped.
