City Food
2005

This installation consisted of collected edible plants from around the city of Basel placed in trade boxes and crates and was open to the street. The installation investigated the edible natural resources in the city and challenge our knowledge about them. Besides references to local food sourcing the installation reminded of a sort of post - apocalyptic vegetable store.

The interaction with visitors of the installation lead to interesting discussions about the relation towards nature and it’s resources within different cultures. The shop was refreshed several times with new plants and spices.
