05.10.2026: Kummer-Vanotti Foundation, Bad-Honnef, DE
The Kummer-Vanotti Foundation is presenting the “Environment and Art Award” for the seventh time. The independent jury selected the artwork “When You See Me” by artist Marjolijn Dijkman. This adds another work to the environmental sculpture park –one that addresses the highly topical issue of drought as the proposed installation relates to the “hunger stones” in the Rhine.
A high-profile jury of experts consisting of Dr. Sebastian Baden, director of the Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt, as chair; Dr. Camilla Bausch, former executive director of the Ecologic Institute in Berlin; Andra Lauffs-Wegner, art collector and owner of KAT_A; Dr. Julia Wallner, director of the Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck; and Jesse Magee, artist and scholar; Sascha Müller-Kraenner, Executive Director of Deutsche Umwelthilfe, and Philipp Herzog, Mayor of Bad Honnef, selected the best competition entries from among the submissions proposed by external experts. Speaking on behalf of the jury, Sebastian Baden praised the submitted project as “a wonderful work that not only has regional relevance but also addresses an important climate protection issue.”
The independent nomination committee consisted of Prof. Dr- Ursula Ströbele; Dehlia Hannah and Stephanie Rosenthal.
The artwork will be installed in 2027.
