Group exhibition
12.05–13.06.2026: Pärnu City Gallery – Artist House, Pärnu, EE
The installations, created by multidisciplinary artists in collaboration with the genius loci of European wetlands, open up to the viewer the world of the cyclicity of growth, decay and rebirth of nature’s micro- and macrocosm. The visitor to the exhibition encounters a composition of unique sounds, colors, textures and smells that are constantly changing in each hall. Technologies that amplify the sensory nature of the works, the mycorrhizal connections that enliven the participants’ ability to perceive the world as a living organism, connect and record the human mind and language in the infinite networks of nature.
All bodies are diverse and multi-species communities, the integrity and health of which is inseparable from the intertwining of species and spheres. Is it possible (and if so how) to foster in humans an ethical imaginative connection across species boundaries? One of the reasons for the careless destruction of the fragile natural community around us is our tendency to draw dividing lines between categories of species, knowledge and understanding. The works of the artists participating in the exhibition show how possible, even ordinary, it is to cross barriers.
